The Streamy Awards is open to all organizations and individuals involved in the production of episodic, serialized web television for business, consumer or general audiences, without geographic boundaries. In order to qualify for the 2010 Awards Season, Series must have released at least three (3) episodes from January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2009. Series do not, however, have to have been shot or produced during this time period. There is no limit to the number of categories a Series may be considered for.
Certain awards have specified criteria (i.e. Best Foreign Web Series) but, otherwise, all Series are eligible for consideration in all categories. Series may be nominated in multiple award categories, and may win multiple awards.
Series are to be considered as they appear online and must be posted online and available for review at a specified URL or Web page.
Due to the nature of the Certified Submission process, all submission fees are non-refundable. If you encounter a technical problem with the submission process, please email help@streamys.org. If you need to correct credits or show information, please contact us at credits@streamys.org
While non-English speaking Series are encouraged, work must be accessible to our predominantly English speaking Streamy Awards Blue Ribbon Panel members. In categories that may not depend on language, such as (but not limited to) Best Original Music, Best Cinematography, etc., non-English speaking entries may be considered in their original format. All Series in a foreign language considered for Overall, Acting, and Writing categories MUST be dubbed or subtitled.
If a Series or an individual, receives an award, the manner and details of announcing such nomination and award is strictly within the discretion of the Streamy Awards. Nominees understand that all awards may not be given or publicized in the same manner and some might be presented in a ceremony and others might not.
The Streamy Awards assume all Series submitted for consideration are the original work of their creators. The Streamy Awards are not liable for any copyright infringement on the part of the Series Creator. The Series Creator is responsible for securing all necessary licensing rights for any copyrighted material, and must abide by the terms of the Content Agreement in order to qualify for nomination.
Series that contain pornographic material, propagate “hate” messages, make defamatory statements, or which are otherwise extraordinarily offensive may not be eligible for consideration.
Ineligible Series may be disqualified at any time without prior notification.
The Streamy Awards reserves the right to reject any or all submissions. As a result, an award may or may not be given in every category. The Streamy Awards reserves the right to reject any submission and determine, using its sole and exclusive judgment, award and category eligibility.
