The Streamy Awards trophy, known simply as a “Streamy,” was conceived during the run-up to the 1st Annual Streamy Awards in the spring of 2009.
Artist Amanda Keidan put forth a bold design that was instantly embraced by the planning committee. The iconic Streamy Awards trophy features five twisting and intertwining silver ribbons which flow upward from its base, embodying the limitless potential of this new, open entertainment landscape by bringing together its individual components in beautifully fluid movement. As with the Streamy Awards and the medium it represents, the trophy is an ever-evolving concept. It is made available only to bona fide Streamy Awards winners; strict scarcity ensures the rare honor bestowed to the winner of a Streamy Award.
The Streamy trophy is produced by Michael de Medina of American Metal Arts. Each Streamy is hand made so no two are alike. The metal ribbons extend from the cylindrical wooden base and pinch together and as they twist 90 degrees counter-clockwise. The surfaces are hand-tooled before being plated with silver.
