The Inaugural Streamys Visionary Award

Los Angeles — April 12, 2010 – The Streamy Awards, an independent awards show organization of digital entertainment leaders created to recognize excellence in original episodic Web television programming, announced the winners of the 2nd Annual Streamy Awards honoring excellence in Web TV programming during a live ceremony hosted by actor and comedian Paul Scheer at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles last night. Over 1300 Web series stars and digital entertainment leaders were joined by a global online audience to celebrate the best in Web television programming. The Streamy Awards recognize excellence in global web television programming for broadband distribution across 35 creative categories.

“The winners of the 2nd Annual Streamy Awards represent the best and the brightest in the world of online entertainment,” said Brady Brim- DeForest, executive producer, Streamy Awards. “We salute their accomplishments and congratulate them on their continued innovation. Their recognition is richly deserved.”

The Streamy Awards, co-hosted by new media companies Tubefilter (www.tubefilter.tv) and NewTeeVee (www.newteevee.com), recognize excellence in global Web television programming for broadband distribution across 35 creative categories, from acting and directing, to editing and special effects. Members of the Streamy Awards voting body review shows submitted through a free, public submissions process and vote on the final nominees and winners for each category.
