Mark Malkoff to Headline the 2010 Streamy Awards Red Carpet Pre-Show

Before you tune into the 2010 Streamy Awards Show this Sunday April, 11 at 5:30PM PT / 8:30 PM ET, be sure you tune into the Streamys Red Carpet Pre-Show beginning at 4:00PM PT / 7:00PM ET. Broadcast exclusively by the fabulous team at Ustream, the show before the show is turning out to be quite the show to watch.

Mark Malkoff – comedian, writer, and filmmaker extraordinaire, who once became highly caffeinated from items purchased and consumed in all 171 Starbucks locations in Manhattan in a single day – will be your headline host with the most. Watch his interviews with top Hollywood stars and internet celebrities all from within the comfortable confines of his very own IKEA bedroom set, built smack dab in the middle of the Streamys Red Carpet. The easily assembled Swedish furniture will provide a quaint setting for interviewees to talk Web TV shop, engage in pillow talk, and (hopefully) start the occasional pillow fight.

If you think Mark looks familiar or at home in a setting filled with IKEA furniture, that’s because he’s gained a lot of notoriety for spending a lot of time in IKEA stores. Mark once lived and slept in an IKEA in Paramus, New Jersey for an entire week while his New York City apartment was fumigated. While Mark is chatting up the VIPs in his makeshift room, we will have the Streamy nominated Kristyn Burtt of the Web.Files getting the dish from all the top talent on the Red Carpet. We’re hoping she saves the toughest questions for her competition in the Best Web Series Host Award. And in close proximity to Kristyn will be the lucky winner of our GotCast Streamys Red Carpet Host Contest, Cyndee San Luis, who savvy online video fans will recognize from her stints at Coin-Op TV.

But that’s not all! The Red Carpet Pre-Show continues inside the Orpheum Theatre with another red carpet in the lobby  where all guests of the Streamys can shine in the spotlight.
