The Countdown to Streamy Nominations is Officially On

A little less than a year ago at the 2009 Streamy Awards Ceremony, Felicia Day gave a heartfelt acceptance speech paying homage to her fabulous fans and a supportive Web TV community, Alex Albrecht accepted his award for Best Web Series Host, and the Sklar Brothers received their Streamy while reminiscing about American Gladiators.
Who will be on stage to make making memorable acceptance speeches during the 2010 Streamy Awards? We’re one step closer to finding out.
We know you’ve been waiting to see the list of Official 2010 Streamy Award Nominees ever since submissions opened in December. Rest assured, on Monday, March 1 the wait will finally be over. The International Academy of Web Television will announce the Official Streamy Awards nominees across all Streamy Awards categories (except Audience Choice finalists – we’ll be doing that mid-March) at this very location.
So, make sure to check out Streamys.org on March 1 for the official announcement, and don’t forget to mark your calendars for April 11. Good luck!

Hi!
I’m wondering why the finalists are being announced at different times when you said they would all be announced at the end of February. Does audience choice voting still start on March 9 like advertised on your site?
Thanks heaps
Cheers, webgurl
Here’s hoping that Louise Flory from Issues: The Series snags a “Best Actress in a Comedy” nomination. I know it’s an East Coast show and a bit of an underdog but I hope the Streamys will honor more than those with big budgets, LA addresses and pre-existing clout. Please don’t let them become like Sundance. She’s a real gem and the series is definitely filled with heart.
We at “and Boris” are looking forward to the results!
